SIMCHAT TORAH
The Joy of Torah!
Moving further to the left is the holiday of Simchat Torah, when
Torahs in the synagogue are removed from the ark and people of all
ages march around
the sanctuary with spirited singing. The spiral symbolizes the cycle
of reading The Five Books of Moses, ending the last chapter from Deuteronomy
on Simchat Torah and starting anew with the reading of Genesis.
