#1 - (size: 21 x 57") ROSH HA'SHANAH & YOM KIPPUR The Ten Days of Awe Beginning from right to left, the smallest window on the right reveals the Ten Days of Awe, including Rosh Ha'shanah (Jewish New Year) with its symbols of apples, sweet honey and a shofar (ram's horn) and Yom Kippur, the Day of Atonement showing when the "Gates of Life" are sealed and a new year begins. Note that the color for the Tallit in this particular window is less vibrant than the other windows, to denote the quiet introspection during this time. |
