11 x14" collage: ephemera found paper, gouache, paper cutouts -2007
A richly textured collage expressing a contemporary ritual during the time of the Jewish New Year, also known as The Ten Days of Awe

A little known, but powerfully spiritual ritual conducted during the Jewish New Year is to throw one's sins, as bread and bread crumbs, into moving water- a metaphor to erase past infractions while praying with hopes for a good year. Will the new year be "good" or "bad"?
