Jewish Celebrations Quilt

Jewish Holidays and Festivals throughout the year
Appliqué, embroidery, quilting - 2000

On permanent display in the lobby of The William Breman Jewish Home -
3150 Howell Mill Road, NW - Atlanta, GA

Each block depicts a Jewish holiday or festival that is celebrated through out the year with an embroidered border of the Hebrew months.

Titles of individual blocks: Top Row, L-R: Rosh Hodesh (New Moon), Tu B'Shevat (New Year for Trees), Sabbath, Lag B'Omer, Yom Ha'Shoah. Middle Row, L-R: Passover, Simchat Torah, Torah, Sukkot, Shavuot,. Bottom Row, L-R: Hanukkah, Yom Yerushalyim, Jewish New Year & Yom Kippur, Purim, Yom Ha'atzmaut.
