Sukkah Tea
Marker pen drawing, (11x14"), 1999

While living in upstate New York, the Rosefsky family built a sukkah on their backyard patio and often invited family and friends to join them to celebrate the fall festival of Sukkot. The scene of Jerusalem for their sukkah was designed by the artist and was painted by family members and friends. Note the peach pie being served in the sukkah, as a tribute to Rosefsky's move to Atlanta, Georgia. A family favorite prayer of thanksgiving, the Shekiyanu, was painted by the artist's son as the sukkah's border.
