Shelter us
15 x 15” Mixed Media Pulled Embroidery On Linen, Photo Corners, Fabric Trim, Paper Cutouts,Acrylic Paint, Drawing 2008
Expressing the temporary nature of one’s home, where what is permanent may not be what it seems due to circumstances beyond our human control.
Using personal ephemera of recycled drawings along with floating photo corners
emphasize the feeling that perhaps a higher power protects us and not the
bricks and mortar of our homes. This artwork was part of Rosefsky’s
solo show “Shelter & Sanctuary” at The Temple Gallery, sponsored
by The DeKalb Council for the Arts in Decatur, Georgia 2008.
